Description
1957 250 HP Fuel Injection Corvette project with clean title and vin plate, vin number E57S103872, just out of longterm climate controlled storage in Texas, the car was disassembled for restoration decades ago and never completed, includes valid Texas title with original vin plate, solid Texas frame that appears to have been restored year ago, '548 FV block dated D17, '997 heads dated B187, Rochester 4520 FI unit, serial # 1838, exhaust manifolds (GM part numbers 3733975 and 3733976), valve covers, front and rear suspension including front crossmember, rear banjo, upper and lower A-arms, coil springs, drag link, leaf springs, etc, rear differential (GM part number 3725899, dated B137), Harrison radiator with core support, steering column with attached steering box, tach drive generator, new hub caps with spinners, wide white wall tires, new date coded windshield (not pictured, side windows are MIA), bumpers and stainless trim as shown, front headlight trim rings, new upper windshield header and both left and right windshield posts, new grille bar and teeth, original seat cushions (seat frames are MIA), original door panels (not pictured, in poor condition but stainless is restorable), gauges including the tachometer, oil pressure, temperature fuel and battery, Wonderbar radio (power pack is not included), original waterfall console stainless trim, glove box door on hinges, deck lid stainless trim, steering wheel, original door sills (both the long and short sections), new transmission tunnel, brake pedal assembly, cowl vent arm, emergency brake arm, heater assembly, windshield wiper motor, windshield wiper arms, wiper motor drum, original convertible soft top frame (disassembled and requires restoration), door hardware and door hinges, cowl vent, hood hinges and hood catches / latches / locks, deck lid / trunk hinge tower and much more. Years back the front end of the car was in an accident that does not appear to have impacted the frame or radiator. The majority of the damaged fiberglass pieces are included (but not pictured) if one wanted to repair the front end using the original glass. In addition, I purchased a new front surround (pictured) but it was damaged (broken in two plus other cracks during shipment). I believe the reproduction surround is still repairable or can be used in conjunction with the original fiberglass to repair the front end. The paint on the car is in super poor condition. The doors are not hinged (hence, the poor alignment in the pictures) and are secured with bungee cords. The car rolls and steers for easy transport.
Car is sold as is, where is and without any warranty. Inspections are welcome and encouraged. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer and a $2000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due within 72 hours of the end of the auction. Please call me at 512-799-8088 or email me at [email protected] with questions. The reserve is super low and the car will sell! Lastly, please review the pictures and description carefully.
