Description

A 1954 Corvette project car, a fairly complete a rolling project with a later (possibly 1971) model 6 cylinder truck engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. The engine has an Offerhauser 3 one barrel intake manifold and the factory dual exhaust manifold.Engine is locked up.The rear end is out of a 1956 Chevy passenger car.
The carburetors and ignition system are not stock items. This corvette has a solid frame underneath it, with a frame VIN stamp that matches the factory VIN tag on the car.The X member has been cut some to accept a different exhaust system. The frame has also has a clutch linkage mount welded to it.
The body is fairly straight but it does have some issues. All four wheel openings have fender flares, the passenger front fender has been cut near the windshield, the hood has a strange hood scoop on it, and the passenger door is caved in slightly. But both doors, the trunk, the deck lid, the hood, and the gas lid all open and close as they are supposed to.The body underneath is pretty solid and complete. The hood has significant modifications and one of the hood hinge plates has broken loose. It is being held in place with a metal bracket.
The interior is fairly stock and includes all of the gauges. The tachometer is in pieces and not complete, but the rest of the gauges are original, even the clock. The dash controls appear to have been modified over the years. The windshield is cracked, but the windshield frame is solid and complete. The radio is not original.
The driver's seat springs are in decent shape and certainly restorable. The driver's seat frame is rusty but repairable. However, the passenger seat is pretty much junk. The passenger seat clips are still attached to the floor of the car.
The project comes with some additional parts, including a front grill and grill oval, both door panels, both side curtains, a rear view mirror, side view mirror, license plate chrome frame, radio speaker grills, steering wheel and horn ring, and a pair of NOS headlight bezels. Some of these parts may not be original.
This project car rolls and steers easily. The wheels are service replacement riveted 5 inch steel wheels, with good condition tires for transport purposes.
The winning bidder will get a non-notarized Bill of Sale from the seller at no additional cost.
The seller can provide a notarized Bill of Sale, along with a CURRENT Alabama registration in the seller's name for an additional fee of $100. I know it is hard to believe, but that is what it will cost the seller to get a CURRENT Alabama registration.
Many states that title cars this old require a notarized Bill of Sale and a CURRENT registration in the seller's name to title the car. Some states do not title cars this old, Alabama is one of those states. All that is necessary for an Alabama resident is a Bill of Sale. The State of Alabama will issue a new registration to the new owner. The new registration is the Proof of Ownership in Alabama.
If you wish to title this car in your state check your state's vehicle title and registration requirements. Please keep in mind that the seller can provide you with the paperwork necessary to title this car in any other state, but the winning bidder is responsible for the cost of that paperwork effort.
This car is on a 7 day auction. The seller will not end the auction early, and there is no Buy It Now price for this vehicle. There is also no reserve on this vehicle, so the highest bidder will get this car.
The winning bidder must make a down payment of $1000 within 48 hours of the auction end. Full payment and pick up of the vehicle must be completed with 7 days of the auction end unless prior arrangements have been made with the seller. I will work with the winner bidder on reasonable efforts to get the vehicle picked up or shipped.
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up or arranging shipping for the ENTIRE project. The seller will not separate any parts after the auction ends.
