Description
This is my 1967 Corvette Stingray. I've owned it since 1977. I don't know the exact mileage, but it was in the mid 60,000 mile range when I began stripping the car down to restore it. During the teardown phase, I removed the gas tank. The original build ticket was on the tank. The car was sold by a TX dealer. It was originally Red/Red, red line tires, power steering, power brakes, power windows, air, hard top & soft top, automatic transmission, single traction rear end, 327/300, lap and shoulder belts. When I purchased the car, it had square headlights molded in place of the flip ups, side pipes, standard transmission instead of the automaticand the lap and shoulder harnesses were missing. The hard top is no longer available. The engine is original as is the rear end. It still has all other power components. The steering wheel appears to be teak. The rims are Craggers, the manifold is an edlebrock and it has a mallory super coil. All of the interior, windshield, etc has been removed and is in storage and will be sold with the car. The build ticket has since fadded and is no longer readable. The attached pictures were taken before I headed out of town. I can provide more next week. For clarification, shoulder harnesses were not listed as an option on the convertible, but it was listed on the build ticket and the attachment posts are still there. I have been told that this was one of 14 1967 convertibles sold with shoulder harnesses. This car is also listed locally and if sold, the auction will be ended early
ADDED DETAILS / PHOTO'S
Many have asked for a copy of the build ticket - I thought it was faded out. Just returned from CA, pulled it out and for the most part it is readable. Here are the pictures. You will note that all of the options I mentioned are listed on the ticket including the most rare of all, shoulder harnesses in a convertible. If you have a red book, you know it wasn't even listed as an option.
Added a scanned photo of vehicle from 1977. Added VIN number
Also found the original title & registration. I was way off on the mileage. It had 33,500 when I purchased it and I added about 5,000. Speedometer is broken, so exact mileage is unknown.
