Description
1984 C4 Chevrolet Corvette, Z51 Handling package. First year of C4 series. First year to have all digital dash! White paint exterior, red interior (original). Car runs well and is fun to drive. This car was kept in the garage upstate by my father-in-law who has passed away now. He drove it lightly over the 38 years, thus only 25,000 miles! New smoke coupe top. Some staining on the leather perforated seats you can see in the photo. Flip up headlights work fine. There is a paint issue which can be seen on right side around window in the pictures - the service station taped plastic over window recently while they were replacing door regulator but the tape was too strong and removed clear coat! Clean Title.
While my father-in-law drove the car periodically, his garage got mice and there are some issues with the car I THINK are related to their possibly having eaten some wires in the dash for the following which are not working:
The windshielf wiper fluid switch is not resulting in fluid squirting (the wipers work). The BOSE radio is not working - you can hear brief static, the power antenna is working (personally I don't car about fixing that, I have two portable Bose Speakers and just stream off my phone radio and music). The heat/air conditioning is not working, I think the a/c needs a charge. The heat might be a wiring issue. The horn is not working, but we are checking this tomorrow, that may be fixed before any sale. There is some odor I think from the mice having nested in one or two areas which could be eliminated by cleaning those spots out.
Sale includes cover and parts I haven't gotten to install or got to have on hand if needed including new window interior and exterior trim for driver and passenger window, roof squeak eliminators, sunvisor retainer and spring for passenger visor (ez replacement), anti-rattle heater cable, power window switch, power door lock switch (passenger door not locking using the electric driver switch only with manual switch on door). Despite these issues, a great car to drive. Never in an accident.
