Description

If your here you probably already know about one of the neatest Corvettes ever made, the King of the Hill ZR1.This very rare and very original 1995 ZR1 is up for auction for some lucky individual to purchase. This is the last year 1990-(1995) that they were produced under the C4 model designation. This car # 260 of 448 made in 1995 which was built with the coveted DUNN heads on BOTH sides, 2 Tops(Painted and Blue Tint); Showing 4078 miles its like a true time capsule down to its original tires!
Its first owner was a collector and sold it with only 775 miles to Rogers Corvettes in Florida, the 2nd owner who I purchased it from put on the current mileage and paid in excess of 57K for this very rare car. Finished in Dark Purple Mettalic over Black leather it really stands out in a crowd. 1995 was the ONLY year Dark Purple was offered on the ZR1 making it the rarest color on any ZR1.They only made 25 ZR1s in DPM in 1995 and only (15) with Black interior making this car a very rare beast.
This car is about 95% original and comes with a binder from the original owner about 8" thick with every conceviable piece of information from and on this car. Some of the items it includes are window sticker, build sheets, dealers invoice, sales receipts, copies of title, original personalised plate, insurance cards, magazines and a bunch more information. The 2nd owner also started a small binder with some of the same information too. The car comes with every hang tag, sticker,EVERTHING that came on the car from the factory. It has 2 Fobs with 3 sets of ignition and power keys. It has the 2 nd roof cover, tire bag with cover ,jack, spare tire that shows new, ratchet for top, everything that comes in the owners kit, owners and repair manual, you name it its here! I have 3 Lloyds Mats that are in the car,the 2 original drivers and passanger mats have never been used. The original battery is gone but a new battery was installed about 50 days ago. This ZR1 also comes with a car cover too.
FULL Disclosur:The paint is as near to perfect as a near 20 year old car can be showing no chips ,scratches or dents. The interior is the same with the only flaw being a ashtray cover that has bubbled paint as a result of the prior owner laying a air freshner on it ??. The other 2 flaws on this ZR1 are the windshield which shows harsh delamination and a non-working fuel gauge.
1) A bunch of 95 ZR1s and earlier models-(less so) have delamination. I have had 4 ZR1s but this is the worst. If I keep the car I will replace it with a regular 95 Corvette w/s but I will leave it up to the next possible owner to replace or keep original. I was told under NCRS rules they will deduct points for a bad original or a new(non-radar windoe) replacement. ZR1 owners will understand but if you have questions please ask.
2) The fuel guage does not work most likely because the in-tank sensor is stuck. I presently have a full tank with the additive "SeaFoam" in it and was advised to run a few tanks through with it to get it working again if not the tank sensor is pretty easy to remove from inside the car so it can be cleaned. You WILL NOT have to drop the tank. Again if this car does not sell I will run it to see if the "SeaFoam" resolves the issue but I would rather just go and clean the tank sensor..
I reside in Park City,Utah but the car is spending the Winter at our 2nd home in ST. George ,Utah. I have tried to explain as much as I can but know you might have some questions SO Please send me your questions and I will try to answer them as quickly and accurately as possible. My E-Mail address is [email protected] if you want to talk about this beauty please let me know by e-mail also..Good Luck and PLEASE SERIOUS ONLY..Iam not looking for a trade at this time.
