This ZR-1 was sold new from Clark Chevrolet in Fredericton, New Brunswick on April 03 1990. It had remained with the original owner until Aug. 26 2014 when World Class Auto Inc. purchased it. This museum quality 1990 Corvette ZR-1 has only 18,320 Kms, never driven in the rain, always garage kept under a car cover when not used. It has original paint and still has the factory air in the tires!
This ZR-1Corvette was ordered from General Motors by BobWheaton (now owner of World Class Auto Inc.) who was the General Sales Manager for Clark Chevrolet at that time. This car was used as a display vehicle at both the Toronto Auto Show and the Montreal Auto Show prior to being shipped to Clark Chevrolet and arrived with 600 Kms on the odometer. It was the first ever ZR-1 to arrive in Canada and is one of 163 ZR-1’s produced for Canada and 1 of 10 produced for Canada in this color.
The original owner took delivery on April 03 1990 during Clark Chevrolet’s 75th anniversary celebrations and its keys were presented to its owner by NHL hockey legend Bobby Orr who was on hand with General Motors dignitaries for the 75th anniversary celebrations (pictures available).
We feel fortunate to acquire this special ZR-1 and have tons of paper work associated with it including original brochures, owners manuals, shipping bill of lading, GM Archives history report with option codes and production numbers, Spare keys, Photos taken during delivery, original license transfer information, dealer delivery file jacket, Factory cassette, Corvette ZR-1 video, GM promo plastic ZR-1 model car still in its box.
This is a true collector car with all of the pertinent documents that establish its authenticity.
This is the first time it has been offered for sale.
A $500.00 deposit is required within 24hrs of auction end. Buyer is responsible for transportation and vehicle export if applicable.
