Description
1966 Chevrolet Corvette
Numbers Matching L79 327/350 HP
This is a four year restoration completed 2/28/2015. It is a late 1966 built car (end of run) June 14th final assembly date, with a rare factory installed big block hood, power steering, power brakes, L79 350HP / 327ci. Just won first place at the World of Wheels Car Show on 3-8-15.
Documented original engine and transmission.
Everything on this car has been replaced or rebuilt. $1,600.00 to re-chrome (show quality) the original bumpers. New:Every bushing, bearing, fuel lines, brake lines, body mounts, gas tank, ect… “NEW” The “original” brake calipers where shipped off for rebuild with stainless inserts and “O” rings (won’t leak). The“NEW” interior was installed on 4/7/14 (all interior light bulbs replaced) and the last item was the “NEW” ignition shielding installed on 4/22/14. New interior throughout, seats completely restored (even seat frames), door panels, carpet, and console.
Engine: Factory block, heads, intake, valve covers. 0.30 over forged pistons, new bearings, rings, cam bearings, ect.. All “New” Manley stainless steel 2.02 int/1.60ex valves, guides, seats, retainers & springs, were installed in the heads to match the Comp cam. Rotating assy was balanced. Engine was broken-in on an engine stand prior to installation. 100 miles on engine. The Comp cam I installed sounds original but with 2012 technology applied, provides 20 additional HP.
Transmission: Complete rebuild, new cluster gear, bearings, S-rings, ect…
New 17” American Racing wheels with 225/50R17 Grand Sprint Touring tires are installed. I have the original (5) rims/tires and the four original (4) stainless spinoff hubcaps that go with the car.
Over $58,000 worth of receipts. Too much to list !
I have over 400 pictures (photo documentation) that will go with the car. The before and throughout the restoration photos, with part numbers and serial numbers and replacement parts to prove, what you are getting. There is over 1000 man hours of labor in this restoration. This car is an investment that you can drive while it goes up in value.
I welcome and recommend that you come look at & drive this car. It’s as close to “NEW” as you’ll going to find.
