Description
For sale is my used 1962 Corvette. It was built May 8, 1962 per NCRS verification and sold in Troy, OH. It is Roman Red exterior with a red interior. I would rate paint a 8-10. I am not a body/fender man and don't see that it was ever wrecked. It is a two top car and the convertible top is white. Power train is a 250 hp 327 ci small block. All gauges work. Deck was shaved in early 80's when the motor was rebuilt, so no serial numbers on the pad. The casting date of the block, heads, distributor, starter, generator, water pump are all correct for the car. They have been rebuilt. The rebuilt 4-speed trans is not numbers matching and has a Hurst shifter. The old linkage was worn and I tossed it. Has a new clutch, pressure plate, & throw-out bearing. The rear end is a correct 3.55 rebuilt posi-traction. Front suspension has a complete rebuild kit from Paragon. It has air shocks in the rear. All new brakes and wheel cylinders. New correct and dated DeWitt radiator and overflow tank with new repro hoses & clamps. Master cylinder, large 022, has been re-sleeved and rebuilt. DOT-5 brake fluid in the system now to keep moisture out. AM Wonderbar radio works. New repro correct oval mufflers. Heater works. Clock rebuilt. Glass is all dated. Interior is in very good condition. New carpet. No tears. A correct set of full size hubcaps and "dogdish" hubcaps come with the car. Headlights are T-3 reproductions. All new turn signal assemblies front and rear. Has new repro jack and tools. Has original trunk board. New trunk mat and trunk divider. All new grounding straps. Original horns 441/442 rebuilt. Rear bumpers rechromed. Front bumpers very good. New front eyebrows and grill chrome. Frame in very good condition with no rust in kick-up areas or cross member. I have traced ownership back to early 80's. The car had 85300 miles on it then and 88630 on it now. I have not driven 1000 miles since I have owned. I mainly drive to local car shows within 50 miles. The car runs and drives very smooth. It is a head turner wherever you go and at car shows. I have tried to get as close to stock in appearance as I could. Garage kept. Inspections are encouraged. You will not be disappointed. Glad to answer any questions.
