Description
Don't miss this opportunity to own the last of the iconic "Stingray". Chevrolet Corvette 1976 Stingray comes with a roadworthy certificate. This car is exceptional value. This car has fantastic street appeal and probably the best looking 76 Ray for the price.
I have owned the Stingray for 7 years bought in Tasmania, then to Victoria and finally now in Western Australia.
This Stingray is the last model to wear the Stingray title and classic badges. It was not intended for a flip sale, in fact I would love to keep this car and pass it on to my sons but things change and it is the car or the lady, I am now ready for another American V8, gotta have some vices/hobbies, probably a Mustang something that has a back seat and possibly a boot. Ho hum.
This Stingray is all numbers matching and basically an original L48 350 Chev with four speed manual, the only way to travel in a sports car.
The Ray is an honest vehicle and not a nuts n bolt restoration andhave been restored to improve looks, life and performance.
The car has only recently been over the pits and had all the necessary work done for WA full registration.
Improvements include, professionally panelled and repainted in factory flame orange 2 pac solid paint 18 months ago, amazing colour. This car has been extensively upgraded including brand new parts direct from the US including in the last 2 months including "Doug" headers, Edelbrock alloy inlet manifold, Edelbrock carby, headlights, wooden sports steering wheel including hub, door trims, body rubber kit, front end rebuilt with rubber bushes and ball joints, engine mounts, universals headlight actuators and hosing, headlight control switch, all this work done professionally by Corvettrix in WA. For those who know will understand the cost to get it 'just right'.
Other parts over the last 6 years, new carpet, new diff, rear trail arms, dual exhaust and springs.
The car looks fantastic and the paint glows like fire in the sunshine and more a red shade in the night. All the hard work is done now just can enjoy, drives like new with a typical V8 sound.
I was told that the engine was rebuilt in America but cannot confirm.
It has Rallye steel wheels with Cooper Cobra radial GT tyres.
Everything works except for the clock.
Trim is buckskin leather and the interior is brand new.
It would suit someone who is seeking a trouble free classic car. Buy and enjoy all the work done will last another 50 years, so no worries for the enthusiastic buyer.
Only serious buyers, please. Freight to Victoria is approx. $700 - $800.No time wasters or tyre kickers.
