Description
Classic west coast shorty G10 Chevy van. 350 with a manual 3 speed on the column. Manual steering and brakes (disk front). Brown with gold metallic paint is older but in fairly good shape. Needs a good wax and has a few imperfections. Body is very solid for its age . One rust bubble starting on the lower driver side door. less than half the size of a penny. Dash is excellent for its age, it has one very small crack about 2 inches long in the face and a slight bow on one of the top edges. Both faults are shown in a picture here. It's missing the front carpet but exposed floors are very solid with no rot. Center wood drink holder has some cracks and is missing a corner. I did have the 70's front swivel seats upholstered. The rest of the interior plywood is either covered in wood grain vinyl or painted. The interior is very usable, but not the best. I would use what is there for patterns and redo it. There is a mirror above the driver area, but its sagging and cracking. The van set for a very long time in a garage, over 10 years. It has new gaskets in the Carter 4v carburetor, a new fuel pump and a few other misc parts to make it run and drive. The 350 engine runs great, and has good compression (around 150 psi), the original quadrajet manifold and carburetor has been swapped out for a 1962 square bore 4v manifold and Carter 625 AFB carburetor. The 205/70/r14 tires are like new tread, but very undersized. Chrome on the wheels is starting to peel. I left the wheels and tires alone as the next owner will probably want to replace them with some fat tires and wheels. Heater, turn signals, horn and driving lights are operational. Spare tire and wrench, but no jack. I have been using it as my personal around town car for a few weeks. I also recently ordered both parking brake cables and the plastic drive gear for the speedometer, they will be replaced by the end of next week. Clean Oregon title in my name.
Areas that need attention are the exhaust, its fairly quiet but there are some holes in the system and it all should be replaced. The weatherstriping and window chanels are not in good shape either and need replacements. The side markers/reflectors are starting to crack in places. The gas pedal is missing. I have just been pressing on the large rod that's there and it goes down the road fine. Radio/Cassette player is not working and I didn't look at the cause. The small rubber seal where the shift linkage passes through the floor is missing.
The air dam and flare kit shown in the pictures is included free with the sale of the van, if you want it.No, I am not separating it from the van!
Please do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about owning this vehicle, and willing to stick to the terms of sale listed below. If you have to get a loan to pay for it, get approved BEFORE you bid. If you have to ask your spouse for permission to buy my vehicle, get it in writing and lock it away before your bid. If your not going to pick it up, find a shipping company. If you have less than 10 feedback on eBay, give me a call before bidding and lets chat before you place a bid or you may be cancelled and blocked. Unfortunately eBay has a lot of no pay flakes. So this has to be said.
If you wish to test drive and inspect the van before bidding, please do! Allegiant Air has some dirt cheap one way flights here from LAX or Las Vegas mid week. Medford Oregon airport code is MFR. I can also work with the auto transporter of your choice, but you must make the arrangements. Out of country bidders are welcome too, just realize the shipping for van and required paperwork fees are much more expensive than if buyers were located in the USA.
