Description
The van is a 1968 Chevy G20 Sportline 108, 3/4 Ton. Paint is grey/white two-tone exterior with a few dings and scratches (I was planning to keep it a little rough to make it a true sleeper)
Vin : GE268P127603
First, the upgrades
- Rebuilt Chevy Vortec 5.3L V8 Engine (LQ4 block)
- Chevy LS 2 series air intake
- New ceramic chrome plated headers
- Rebuilt 4L60e Transmission w/2200 stall speed converter (only about 500mi since the rebuild)
- New chrome moly core custom made drive shaft w/solid splicer 4 joints
- Rebuilt 12 bolt limited slip differential w/3:73 gears
- Wilwood high performance disc brake package on rear axel (calipers, rotors, master cylinder, lines)
- Brand new drum brakes on the front axel (pads, master cylinder, lines)
- Front axel : 57 GM 3100 Narrowed
- Rear axel : New high 10 performance chrome moly 5x5 pattern
- New Rancho performance truck shocks on all four wheels
- Radiator : New Champion Racing 4 core aluminum high flow dual electric fans
- All new "Classic Instruments" dashboard gauge set up
- Electrical : New AFI wiring harness and ECU, all new wires throughout
- New Flowmaster twin exhaust
- Custom motor mounts and new transmission cross support
- New starter and alternator
- New fuels system, pumps, regulators, lines
- All new belts, spark plug, fluids
- Custom Coco Mats front and passenger area floor mats as well as main cabin floor mat
- New matching interior seats : Driver, passenger, two rear facing jump seats, one fold flat bench seat
- New front retractable seat belts and 5 rear lap belts
- New 16" steel wheels and tires with chrome center caps
- Approx 420hp
- 3500 miles on rebuilt engine
What it doesn't have
- Power steering (thought I might be getting that in there, see below)
- Heat/AC
- Stereo
- Modern Classics here in Ventura is willing and lined up in the next month or so to do a Mustang 2 front end conversion with power steering, coil springs and slotted high-performance disk brakes. They were quoting me about $4-5k. So, if you're interested in going there, I can make the introduction.
This has been a three year labor of love and this van always turns heads. It's truly a one-of-a-kind build and I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm ready to move on to another project. This would be an incredible purchase for a company looking for a brand vehicle (apparel pop-up, custom furniture, brewery delivery, event/festival destination truck, adventure mobile). It'll do 75 on the highway all day.
