Description
I've had this van a couple years now with plans to create an Ice Creamtruck. Got a real shop instead and so it's been sitting for a good while(moss growing on it in places). That said, we're moving, need it gonesoon, and can't find the title (will need to get a replacement ((2weeks)) but need it moved ASAP, so hopefully you have a place to storeit whilest I get the title.
The Good -The person I bought it from supposedly put $8000.00 in toit. Lots of thing's have been replaced, new shocks, brakes, tires, dualexhaust, lot's of parts under the hood. New interior - rubber doorseals, self contained toilet. A choke was installed for ease ofstarting, it has working heater and had passed New York inspection.Passenger cabin is very clean, beautiful paint job on dash and enginecover, new rubber matting. Lots of interior lights and two batteries soyou can power them if no electric available. This van is one of a kind.
The Bad - Driving this van back from wherest I bought it, the engineseized. Mechanic said engine won't crank. I swapped out the seizedengine. The guy who did the work did a poor job. The engine appears torun nice from what I remember, however the battery doesn't charge (whichsomeone pointed out it is probably an issue with the alternator). Theengine is a 350 and I think out of an 80's Chevy pickup. When I drove ithome, there was a loud screeching. I'm no mechanic, I can only assumethat's the alternator screeching.
Because it has two batteries, I don't think it was hooked up properly.
Little bit of body damage, small ding to rear left fiberglass top.
Bumpers aren't quite straight. The piece that covers the side sliding door guide is missing.
Doors are a little quirky, but work/lock. Little rust on rocker panels/door - not on frame at all.
Mileage, I think is 114K. Steering wheel is all cracked.
