Description
Car was built in California & spent it's life there until I bought it out of an estate in San Diego in 2013. Had been in storage since 1990. Intended to make it a resto-mod, decided it was too nice a car. Did a frame on restoration because the floor supports, inner rockers & floors were in great shape.
DRIVE TRAIN:
348 cu", original motor with original miles. Block stamped T224HA and the HA code means it came from the factory with 3-2 bbls carbs, 280 HP, Hydraulic lifter w/ Turboglide transmission.
3x2 bbl carbs, where rebuilt before I bought the car. Have receipts.
Factory tranny was swapped for a 1955 Oldsmobile 4 spd Hydra-Matic. I found that was what they replaced the 2 spd Power Glides with in the day. I have a Power Glide from a 58 BelAir if a correct transmission is desired.
Power Drum Brakes, work well.
Power Steering, works well, no leaks.
BODY:
Had some minor rust issues that were repaired.
Painted with PPG base coat clear coat in original Tuxedo Black.
All the stainless was straightened and polished.
Re-chromed California 1 piece bumpers front & rear.
INTERIOR:
New foam & seat covers front & rear.
Padded dash.
AM radio works.
Cool-IT sound matt under New carpet.
Reasonable offers excepted. Would consider partial trade for 1967 Malibu/Chevelle convertible.Payment will be cash on pickup or with a bank transfer prior to car being picked up.
