The Details;
This 1958 Impala Coupe is an excellent example with a rust-free rock solid body that has straight sheet metal. The fit of the hood, doors and trunk lid is all up to standard. The stunning gloss black lacquer paint has OEM luster. The glass apears to be original. Original grill is excellent. It has been treated to a restoration about 20 years ago in Arizona where the car lived at that time. Only driven on nice days to local shows and it still remains in beautiful condition. Due to my age & sight impairments last week as I was exiting the garage I put a very minor 10” light scuff/scratch on the passenger fender above the trim molding (an easy touch-up with lacquer paint). I then decided it was time to sell my beloved Impala now due to my sight impairments. All the chrome, trim and stainless is in very nice condition. ( Note the “348 side emblems are removable stick-on I was tired of folks asking what size engine is in the car). It has the rare optional factory Continental kit, optional dual antennas, also the correct full chrome spinner hubcaps with Wide White Wall Coker Bias-Ply tires that really dress-up the appearance.The beautiful Tri-Color Black, Turquoise and Silver interior has been partially restored. There are new seat correct covers installed, new carpets and overall interior is very nice. The installation is professional on the seats and rugs. The Original Impala steering wheel is original and in nice shape. The chassis/frame is solid as a rock, from dry climate, straight, trunk pan, and floors are solid as you would expect on a car of this quality. Engine compartment is correct and nicely detailed see pix.


The Mechanics;


The heart of this 1958 Impala is its rebuilt 348 V-8 engine with thefour-barrel factory carb and it is mated to its factory powerlide Automatic Transmission. It runs and drives smooth as glass with excellent power. This Impala has been mechanically well sorted with systems functioning properly as they should. I added an electric cooling fan that can be operated manually. It has new water pump, new fuel pump, new shocks, new springs, brakes have been redone, it has the original points distributor, new power steering bracket and more. I am including an extra windshield, an extra set of bias tires, an extra Pglide transmission, a goodie box of misc. original 58 Impala parts a custom fitted car cover. It has a correct spare and the original jack, Smitties mufflers with dual exhaust and chrome exit tips.The suspension is excellent with new springs and shocks and it has always been well maintained since new. It runs and drives like a dream. You can drive it anywhere with confidence. The 58' Chevy Impala Coupe is considered one of the best looking, most recognizable 50's Iconic Classic cars.
