1961 Impala Bubble top - 409 Muscle car setup

I bought this car with the hopes of turning it into a more classic style impala. After further review and many friends telling me not to change the gearing or drag racing setup, I decided to sell and buy another car that is more for around town. This is a classic older style drag setup with the trim and interior made to look and feel like the way it was done in the 70s. The original owner who built it, I am still in touch with and can give that info to the new buyer, he has all the details of how he set it up. It would be ashamed to change this style and re-do what he has done so I am putting it up for auction for someone who will enjoy this setup.Its a killer car. Check the video below.
Specs: • 45k+ body off build. •New body mounts, chassis blasted/painted. •New front end.New brakes, lines, dual reservoir master. •Newer paint, always garaged, & paint shows very well. •No rust visible anywhere on the vehicle.New bumpers. •Trunk, floors were replaced. •Door windows do function. •New tires & wheels. •New interior •Rebuilt 409. 11:1, roller cam, runs on 93 octane pump gas.Dual quads, MSC ignition. •Super T10, new Centerforce clutch, flywheel, scatter shield. •Hurst Comp Plus shifter.Line lock.Alum radiator. •Doug’s ceramic headers. •New exhaust, fuel lines,fuel cell, battery.
Issues with car first:
•Some filler in the rear wheel wells, but was done right.
•Doors, Front Hood, Front Fenders are fiberglass. Small gaps in the fitment alignment. Top, Trunk and back quarters are original
•Quarter glass & door glass are plastic. Everything else is glass.
•Quarter windows do not function
Paint from undercarriage and body is perfect. One little bubble near fender where it rubbed.MORE Photos
