Description
This is a vehicle owned by the Village of Winnebago (Illinois) and has been used as an unmarked police car since brand new. The vehicle was purchased in 2005 and has been in service until Feb. 2015 when it was taken out of service. The vehicle has never been marked, but did have antennas and a cage installed. All lighting was installed on the inside of the vehicle and there was never a push bar installed on this unit. Full repair/maintenance records are available from the date it was purchased.
Ignition over-ride system stays. What this does is when activated (by the dash switch) you can turn the key to the off position and remove it from the vehicle. The vehicle will still run. If the key is not replaced, it turns off if the brake pedal is pressed. The spot light is functional and will stay with the vehicle. This unit was used primarily as secondary to the marked units and was not used everyday. There is also a factory switch on the dash called Surveillance Mode, which when pressed overrides the vehicle's daytime running lights and turns them off.
With it being a police vehicle, there are light scratches on the sides, plugged holes from the antennas and a small crack in the paint only on the front bumper near the license plate. These items are photographed and will appear with the photos. There are also two holes in the headliner from where the factory interior light was removed and a garage door opener was stored. Some of the black finish on the radio and steering wheel buttons has started to come off and is typical of a vehicle of its age. There was a tune up done on the vehicle, by a local shop, two weeks ago.
