Description
Selling my 1961 Chevrolet Impala Sports Coupe (bubbletop) registered until August 2016.
Here’s a video I did with the car for a clothing brand (fast forward to about 2mns) -
I have owned this car since it was imported in 2000. All restoration work & modifications have been done in Australia. It was a St Louis (Michigan) car prior to its import.
Restoration was started late 2000 with first rego in 2003. Restoration work included panel beating, rust removal, brakes, engine, exhaust, paint, new bushings, new rubbers, new chrome, gaskets, trim, the list goes on (All receipts are available).
It currently sits on heavy duty King Springs. It used to have Hydraulic suspension however is now back to stock but you can easily put a system in it.
The interior was restored (Vinyl & suede combo) in 2007, new carpet, new headliner as well as a custom $3000 sound system.
The car has a 283 V8 (mild cam) with a 3 speed manual gear box. A full service has just been done on the engine (oil/filter/plugs/fluids etc..), brakes, steering etc.
It has a custom acrylic paint job including lace pattern in the side flash (where emblems are located) and a custom roof mural painted by Moose Renshaw (RCC Customs – ACT).
It sits on original wheels (white wall tyres & original hubcaps). You can buy separately the 100 spoke OG Wire wire wheels, powder coated black (chrome hub & nipples), with 520 premium sport tyres as per pictures.
Sale includes NOS parts such as bumper guards (front + back) & fender skirts as well as a heavy duty Autotecnica car cover. Additional spare parts such as OG steering wheel, OG tail lights, emblems and many more can be purchased SEPARATELY.
A real head turner, it has won multiple trophies in Australia & has been in a few magazines here & overseas. It would also make a great addition to a wedding business or simply cruise.Genuine & reluctant sale so only genuine people need apply. Can provide more photos & details on anything on the car.
