Description
What you are salivating over is a 1938 Master Deluxe Chevrolet This vehicle has no defects, apart from a dicky wiper motor, however a new one will be supplied, unfortunately I have not the health to get under the dash and fit it, and has a very new paint job along with completely re-bored motor,(20 oversize) new pistons, Rings, Ground head, valves with hardened inserts for unleaded petrol The motor is not yet run in completely and is extremely tight. The vehicle has done 46000 miles and the new motor and components have only done 530 miles, I have a large folder with full history and receipts for everything. There have been several mild modifications for better performance such as conversion to 12volt, and Alternator in leiu of generator, Power Brake Booster, and electronic water and fuel pumps along with electric fan.I am the second owner, the 1st owner was a farmer by name of Louis Armstrong who died in WW2 The only major damage was sustained when the vehicle colleded with a tram in Sydney when the two sisters drove down to celebrate V day. Unfortunately the tyranny of old age is creeping up on me and I am finding it difficult to drive any of my vintage vehicles, although the youngest vehicle in the fleet is this Chev and is the most comfortable to ride in. Because it is a Master Deluxe the Knee action front suspension works a treat and has been completely done up to original specifications, indeed it is the equivalent to riding in a modern Limo, but it is to big for us oldies, it doesn't have power steering which makes it hard to drive especially with a sewn up chest the result of openheart surgery, once on the highway it handles beautifully. The vehicle is on Club registration that cannot be transferred which technically means the vehicle will be unregistered, there is no road worthy certificate., and the vehicle has never been smoked in. There are five practically new whitewall Coker tyres, (one of which has never been on the car) The succesful bidder must be in contact with me within 7 days. Pick up only. No postage. I can assist with taking the vehicle to any transport freighter in the area. I welcome any inspection by any person, as long as I have notice that you are coming. This is an extremely reluctant sale as we have had "Louis" the Chev since 1978, getting old is the armpits. Anyway Good luck with your bidding, I know once you look at it you will love it.
