Description
The car is currently in the condition of the 2nd 3rd and 4th photos. It had been stored in a (yes barn) since the 70's. It has a clear title and is pretty solid. There is some door issues in the rh rear and the lh front has some sag. The floor is solid and the car presents well enough for driver but has had some bodywork done in the past. There is some repairable rust. It was originally black but had been changed to red and white for parades by a local American Legion. In the 60s (estimated) it was painted the blue that it is now. The engine block (original) has been machined and fitted with new aluminum pistons, the head has been redone and new valves installed. The springs were changed in order to avoid the use of helper springs. A new clutch disc and throw out bearing have been installed but has a tick when it turns over. The NOS rods may need adjustment or? The rocker system is out and ready for etc. The remainder of the full gasket kit is included as is the rebuild kit for the front suspension and the water pump kit. The engine is partially disassembled and what is there will need to be triple checked. The oil pan is still off as well for access to the rod caps for proper shim adjustments. The radiator will need to be replaced or restored but is complete. The exhaust manifold has a stuck heat riser and the plate is off. This can be drilled and rebuilt or capped? Nothing else mechanical has been touched including the brakes or fuel system. It is all intact and is as found. The seats have been removed for ease of access. They are ok and not all tore up but they smell and look old as does the rest of the interior. It is all there other than the non salvageable carpet. There might be some rh rear door hardware missing as it looks like someone was working on it at one time. It will still need the work. It came with some artillary wheels. I was able to locate the wires and swapped them out. The tires hold air (replaced some tubes already) and some are in pretty decent shape. There is more but I can add things as they come to me. Its a good restorable start for an original resto or a modification. The lack of a trunk gives it a more rare look for the 36. I have a clear WI title in my name and it matches the engine as they did back in the day--Once purchased I will slide the seats inside the car but not bolt them down. I will also bin up the loose parts and put them inside as well. It was very complete when I got it but could be missing some minor hardware or?
