Considering that more than 41,000 examples of the standard SS were made in 1986, and more than 33,000 “notchback” cars were built in 1987, the Aerocoupe is a comparatively rare model. It still pulses from the original motor, a 305 cubic inch, 5.0 Liter High Output 4 barrel V8 with a 4 speed Turbo Hydramatic TH-200-4R transmission and a positraction rear end.
