Description
Thanks for viewing my auction.
This is a 1971 Nova SS. It is a factory bucket seat, console shift with in dash tach and console gauge car.
I do not have a build sheet to prove it is an SS. The car has power front disk brakes, 12 bolt rear, SS badging and the factory dual exhaust hangers still in place.
The car has new Eaton Detroit spring 1" drop leaf springs in the rear.
I bought the car in 2012 with intentions to build it into a pro touring car. My plans changed, I am out of room so this one needs to go to a new home.
Actual mileage is not known.
This is a project car. We removed the roof skin to repair rust under it. A new roof skin as shown in the photos will go with the car. It also will come with a new filler panel for between the rear window and trunk area. It will also come with an extra trunk lid and front fender.
There is no engine, transmission or drive shaft with the car. It will have to be moved on a trailer or tow dolly at the purchaser's discretion.
As shown in the photos the rockers look good, the bottoms of the doors look good and the area below the windshield does not appear to have any holes.
The right quarter panel had 1/2 quarter patch installed before I purchased the car. The left quarter panel appears original to the car. The fender lip has been rolled. The are some small holes at the bottom of the panel as shown in the photos.
The trunk floor has been lap patched. I planned to replace the trunk floor if I kept the car.
There were some patches in the floor as shown in the photos. They weren't done to a very high standard. They should be done correctly or replace the floor pan.
I planned to install a cowl hood on the car so I sold the original SS hood with the louvers. The car will come with a plain hood.
I used the factory floor shift steering column in my other project. The car will come with a column shift from a 1970 Nova. The column shift instrument panel is still in the car.
All the seats will come with the car. The back seat and the driver's seat are intact. I stripped the upholstery from the passenger front seat as it was home to some rodents and smelled pretty bad. The hard plastic side and back panels for this seat come with the car. The rear seat is fair with no major rips or tears.
The windshield is gone. The rest of the glass is there. I will reinstall the quarter window glass this weekend. There was no window trim on the car when I bought it.
The car still has most of the unique items for a Nova SS. 12 bolt rear, bucket seats, in dash tach and console gauges, floor shift with console and rally wheels.
Inspections are welcome with notification so I can make sure I am available to show the car.
The car is sold where is as is. Transport of the car is up to the purchaser.
Alabama was not a title state in 1971 so the car will be sold with a bill of sale. The car has a valid Indiana title that will convey with the car.
Please ask any questions through eBay.
A $500.00 deposit will be required within 48 hrs of the end of the auction if the car sells.
