Description
1963 Chevy II Station Wagon-purchased in Corona, California in 2006. 3400 miles on engine/trans since installed. Less than 1900 miles since 2006.
Drivetrain includes GM crate engine-350/290 hp-326 ft.lbs torque-4 bolt mains, Aluminum intake, Holley 600 cfm DP carb, HEI distributor, billet pulleys, electric fan, 4 row radiator.Jet-coated headers with 2 1/2 inch into Flowmaster mufflers.
Transmission- Turbo 350 with 2600 rpm stall torque converter-built by The Toy Shop-Pomona, California. Rear-end is 5 lug 10"-non posi with 3.08 gear ratio.
Sub-frame connectors, Carter electric fuel pump.
Front-end is completely rebuilt-five lug, Energy Suspension poly urethene, Global West Idler arm and centre link. New steering box(67 style). Low arms have eccentric lock-out kit.
New 4 wheel disc brake kit installed last year-stops great. Manual steering. Drives straight-no pulling or vibration.
Wheels-front-15x4-165R15 tires/ rear15x7-P23560R15 tires. Rally wheels all around. Spare tire.
Interior-new weather stripping, new door panels, visors, glove box liner, carpet,bench seat-grey tweed with black vinyl in excellent condition. Idiidit tilt brushed aluminum steering column.New headliner. Steering mounted tach/gauges under dash. Push-button start. B&M ratchet shifter. New seatbelts. Rear no carpet.
Exterior- full 3 stage paint in 2007. Color is 2007 Mercedes Pewter Silver metallic. Bodywork at time revealed virtually zero rust- this car spent 43 years previous to 2006 in desert of Southern California. Body has a 1-2very minor scratches-none on sides or front-no bug chips.I would rate this at least a 9.5 or more out of 10. New door handles, freshly chromed rear gate handle. Under carriage is painted black in very good condition . Floor pan is very solid-no rust or damage. New grille,headlight bezels, front & rear bumpers,tail lights. New shocks and rear springs.
Minor issues- radio is new from 2006-but does not work-requires small fuse I can't find. Front and rear chrome- hood crown and tailgate trim should be re-chromed if you want perfect. Driver's side door could use new doorpins-as door sometimes needs to be pulled hard..Rear whees rub occasionally very slightly on inner wheelwells with someone in back while cornering. I have brand new proper offset rally wheels which are also included- just never got around to mounting them. Also included is the original luggage rack which needs re-chroming as well.
I love this car-and never intended on selling it-but I have purchased another collector car and have run out of garage space. Over 30k invested.
