Description
For sale is an immaculate 1932 Chevrolet 5 window coupe street rod/hot rod! This car was built by me with all the best parts and finished in May 2014. It is the May 2015 cover car and feature car in StreetRodder Magazine and also the cover car on the latest SpeedwayMotors street rod catalogue. This car has also been in NSRA StreetScene, Goodguys Gazette, and RodAuthority. This car has won many great awards including Classic Instruments Pro's Pick 2014, GoodGuys Homebuilt Heaven 2014, Rod & Custom Fab 5 pick at NSRA Knoxville 2014, and Best Chop at the 2015 Detroit Autorama, and is the overall 2014 Rod & Custom Fab 5 winner! Get this car while it's still hot!
This car is a steel bodied 1932 Chevrolet 5 window coupe with 3 inch chop and 4 inch channel. The frame is one-off custom designed and built 2x3 rectangle tubing with 4 inch kickup in front and 14 inch kickup in rear. The front suspension consists of a 4" drop axle, Posies reverse eye spring, GM disc brakes, and original Ford split wishbones.
This cool little hot rod is powered by a 327 Chevrolet small block, .030" over, steel crank, shot-peened rods, and forged flat top pistons. The heads are 283/327 PowerPak with stainless 1.94/1.60 valves, bowls blended, chambers unshrouded, and ported and the cam is a custom ground solid lift cam by Comp Cams. The induction system consists of two 500 cfm Edelbrock four barrel carburetors atop a vintage Offenhouser aluminum intake! The exhaust gases are spent through ceramic coated lake headers and a 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster 10 series mufflers. The power is transferred through a Borg Warner T56 six speed manual with Ram billet aluminum flywheel and upgraded pressure plate and clutch. The driveshaft is custom made by Dynotech Engineering, and the 9 inch ford has brand new Moser 31 spline axles with a brand new Currie 9+ limited slip differential with 4.56:1 gears.
This awesome show car rolls down the road on 15" Rallye America chrome steelies and spyder caps wrapped in Firestone bias ply tires from Coker Tire. The interior is bare bones with nicely styled bead rolled panels, a modified 1954 Chevrolet truck dash, New Vintage USA gauges, and a modified 1954 International truck seat.
There are many, many hours of work in this awesome little hot rod, you really must see all the cool little details to fully appreciate this car! Get it while it's hot!
