Description
You are looking at a 1956 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. I've owned it for a little less than 2 years. (I put approx 150 mi a year on it) I bought it freshly rebuilt from a builder in New Jersey. Finished in Hot Rod Black.
The major upgrade is a built 2004 Corvette LS-1 motor (carbureted) with a Comp 'Thumper' cam, and a T5 5 speed trans with blow-proof bell housing. Almost every component on the car has been upgraded/replaced etc.
The following is new as of 2012: Windshield, Side glass, Door handles/locks, ALL chrome (Bumpers, grill etc), LED turn signals, 'Halo' headlights, MSD computer, Heavy duty Aluminum radiator and overflow reservoir, Tubular A-frames, all clutch related parts, Shocks, Power brake booster, Front disc brakes, New rear shoes and wheel cylinders, Gas tank, Sender, Electric fuel pump, complete wiring harnesses, DixcoTach, gauges, Powder-coated headers, exhaust system, CD/stereo/speakers, Tires, Cragar SS wheels, Mooneyes steering wheeland much more
Other features: The Headliner and sun visors are original to the car!!! The front bucket seats are ORIGINAL 1956 Sedan Delivery seats, recovered. Black carpet, two-tone gray door panels.
a few small things needing addressing (or not) Speedo sticks occasionally odometer works fine, Interior light does not work and steering box it's near the end of adjustment.
I really do not want to sell this rare year/model car. It is MUCH more together than your typical 'Small block 4 speed' build. Car is for sale locally, and I may decide to keep it, I REALLY like it a LOT! You will be hard pressed to find a '56 Sedan Delivery with this build quality in this price range!
