Description
This 1958 pickup was purchased out of southern California 20 plus years ago, drive train has been recently updated with an untouched red exterior with flames pinstriped and autographed by the legendary Shakey Jake based out of the Costa Mesa area.
This truck runs and drives great. Power brakes, power rack and pinion steering , duel exhaust with custom sanders headers, engine bay is freshly painted and blacked out with all new billet upgrades from top to bottom.New power steering pump, water pump and 100 Amp alternator, the under side of this truck is very solid with exception of the front cab corners that could use some attention, shown in pictures. both rear wheel well skirts come with this truck, pictures show with and without for appearance only.
Interior,
bench seat, with custom Billet Specialty's steering wheel, original three on the tree steering column
has been changed into an automatic shift, billet Specialty's gas peddle with new linkage, Sony sound system with amp and base speaker behind seat, all gauges and lights work as they should.
Drive train,
1970 Chevy 454 that was taken out of a very low mile car in 1972 and put into storage. this engine now has a fresh rebuild with all internal bearings replaced with stock compression and bore, complete valve job with replaced springs and rockers, a mild tow cam installed with a Edelbrock performer dual plane intake manifold, Edelbrock 650 carburetor with electric choke, new electronic distributor, all behind a heavy duty 4 core aluminum radiator. engine bay and engine Look and run great with no smoke or leaks
Turbo 400 transmission has been rebuilt to stock by a reputable trans shop, up shifts and down shifts flawlessly in all gears.
New Ford 9” custom rear differential with a 3:08 gear with disc brakes to match the front, with an emergency brake system for safety. and a new heavy duty balanced drive shaft.
Classic Performance Products M2 IFS front suspension kit stock height spindles, 6- lug mustang 11 disc brake conversion, mustang 11 sway bar, big block springs, IFS power rack, stainless brake hoses.
