I AM RELISTING THIS TRUCK BECAUSE THE BUYER WHO PURCHASED THE TRUCK ON DEC. 24 WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE THE TRANSACTION. THE BUYER WAS FROM FRANCE AND DID NOT REALIZE THE COST OF SHIPPING THE VEHICLE. I AM VERY SORRY THE SERIOUS LOOKERS HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCED! LET'S TRY AGAIN!
I have owned this vehicle since 1996 and bought it partially upgraded with the 283 V-8 engine and automatic transmission. It has not been wrecked and nor has it had a lien on it since I have owned it. Excellent project vehicle. Wood bed has been replaced and upholstery is new. Excellent paint, new tires. Drivers side window is cracked, will be replaced by me. Has been stored and garaged inside since 1996. No shipping included. Must be picked up from owner. The use of VIN decoding began in 1954. Prior to that time there was no standard format used. Between 1954 and 1981 VINs varied considerably between manufacturers. REF: VIN Decoding in reference to AutoCheck Statement on the listing regarding vehicle history report on this 1953 vehicle, which was manufactured prior to 1981.
