Description
1936 Chevrolet Military Vehicle1.5 Ton truck with dual rear wheels
built June 1936 at the Kansas City plant
Very rare truck. Nevada title is current.
Truck runs with a strong sounding engine. Idle is rough due to needing a carb rebuild.
Includes 4 new tires, spare tire rim, and 2 extra rims.
It appears this vehicle was surplussed to the Forest Service who added iron rear bumper plates and did
slight modifications to the bed, which should be readily restored to original usage.
All gauges work, despite looking a little tatty, including the speedometer which is missing the needle. The amp meter indicates a charging of the the new battery.
The brakes will pump up.
Years ago when I installed the new tires I greased the wheel bearings [the brake linings were fine],changed the tranny fluid and engine oil. I recently changed the oil and put in new plugs.
Check out oldchevytrucks.com as they have many parts for this old truck.
Small rust area below drivers door post, as seen in photos, is the only rust on vehicle.
Windows [broken] roll up and down. Windshield rolls out from the bottom edge.
Original engine, 4 speed transmission, single speed differential.
Needs:
bumper (bumper on vehicle is wired on temporarily)proper headlights (headlights on vehicle are not wired or correct for vehicle)proper taillights military pintle hook and a complete restoration.
No warranty. Cash or Cashiers Check only. Non-refundable $500 deposit.
Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements & cost.
