Description
You are more than welcome to come visit the truck in person and ask questions in Connecticut prior to bidding. I will do my best to answer them all. I tried to leave as honest and detailed of a description as possible below. I also reserve the right to end this auction early as the truck is also for sale locally.

Perfect project truck. Short bed 4x4, 350 (with some fancy parts) T350 tranny. Tilt PS PB AT front disc brakes. This has been my daily driver for 6+ years and mechanically maintained as so. Brand new tires. Brakes, exhaust, suspension, alternator, carburetor, etc. etc. all done within the past 18 months.
I do not do a lot of work on cars and trucks and did not buy this truck as a restoration project. I bought it in 2012 as a daily driver off a local hot rodder/car guy who loves and flips old Chevys. I needed a truck for my work and I wanted something cool. It has honestly been the best and most reliable business purchase I've made and only left me on the side of the road once - which was my fault as I ran out of gas (the gauge doesn't work, of course :)
I've driven this truck daily around town, mildly off road and in snow and ice (the 4x4 works flawlessly and can't be stopped!) It has gone as far as New York City and Boston (both about 100 miles from me) with no issues, carried 2000 lbs of wood across the state and delivered fragile wood and glass furniture to happy customers all around.
The truck came like a FrankenTruck; as you can see in the pics it is at least two trucks pieced together and it has lots of aluminum Corvette parts on the engine (as well as a Vette steering wheel).
The floors, cab mounts and cab corners were all done right before I bought the truck and are solid (although I'm sure you'll find some spots that need a touch up when you start digging). There is minor rust inside above the windshield but it has not grown or gotten worse in the 7 years I've owned her.
It unfortunately does not have the magic VIN number that makes it a true short bed 4x4, which I have since learned is important to some. Personally, I think it's cool that the VIN doesn't match the style. It was almost a selling point to me! I had no problems registering and insuring it.
The rust on the doors and rockers is getting bad so I bought the replacement panels from LMC truck (inner and outer) with the intention of learning how to do the repairs in the spring. They are in the box and come with the truck. Plus my buddy dug up a spare pass. door for me that is in better shape.
I drove and maintained it daily until a couple weeks ago. I came out from work and noticed my rear bumper was crooked. I looked under and saw the frame in that area is compromised and driving the truck is now a safety issue.
I lack the time and skill for a project, so my loss. I want to see this go to the person that can bring her back to her glory.
I talked to a couple people about frame repair options. There are aftermarket kits available and other means to repair the back of the frame. I've been given an estimate of "a couple grand" to make the truck roadworthy again.
Spare parts include body panels listed, a crappy aftermarket tailgate, period correct tonneau cover and the rest of the original trim. You also get the ugly cap :)
There are NO INSPECTIONS or TITLES in CONNECTICUT for vehicles more than 25 years old, so sale of the truck will come with all the appropriate paperwork and proof required to register it in the state of CT. Your state may require an inspection.
YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THIS TRUCK. It runs and drives but is not roadworthy for long trips.
