1972 Chevrolet C-20 Fleetside 3/4 Ton Driver/Project

I have a 1972 Chevy C20 3/4 ton pickup truck for sale. 350 Chevy small block with a4-speed manual transmission. 4 speed manual has a 'granny gear.' I typically startin second, and it doesn't like running much more than 60mph with thecurrent gearing. Not sure of real mileage since the odometer doesn't work. I don't believe they're original, but it has good working disc brakes in the front! Truck brakes very well. I used it as a daily driver for the last twoyears, and although it's fun to drive around I will not lie and must saythat many things do not work on it! Forest Green color - not a good paint job but it's whatit is, cleans up alright with a bit of wax but it would be a joke totake it to a show! It has the hoodemblem in black but that fell off at one point. It could do for a full restoration,or be used as-is to drive around in, as I have. Theonly gauges that work inside are the gas gauge, oil pressure andtemperature (both located on a secondary gauge cluster). Both windowsroll up and down but require a delicate touch (I prefer to hold onto theglass and assist the mechanism). No wipers, no high beams, no heater,no a/c, no radio, no horn. All lights typically work but the brakes/blinkers can be temperamental.

I replaced the power brake booster, rebuilt the carburetor (hasdisengaged secondary butterfly to help keep gas mileage decent, easy to change back to normal and would probably get a bit more oomph out of the engine),replaced a number of hoses, bled the brakes, changed the oil a couple oftimes, re-welded the rear mounts for the exhaust pipes which werebroke, put a couple of new gaskets on the engine block/headers, paintedsections of the bed black, painted the gauge cluster cover, painted thewhite Chevrolet on the back, added the custom-fit Mexican blanket seatcover (the original green vinyl is really good except one nice chunkright under the driver's butt, about 6" across).

All around, it runs and drives alright and is legal on thestreets of California. I would absolutely not drive it on a freeway! Priced reasonablyfor a project or as a good farm truck or the like. Sold as-is with no warranty expressed. This is a rough, old pickup truck! It's currentlyregistered in California until September. Clean title.
