Description
This is a running, driving, licensed, titled 1970 Chevy stepside project. I purchased it 4 months ago with a bit of money i had left over from my mothers passing. Once into it, I lost interests, mainly because I did not have the time, money, or knowhow to do with it how I wanted and what it deserves. The motor starts up good, but takes a little pumping. she runs cold, but once warmed, idles nicely. The quadrajet carb runs ok, but is old and would need replaced. Has power steering. The drum brakes work good, but would recommend them turned, unless you swap to disc of course. The body is in pretty good shape. The previous owner had patch a couple of spots at the bottom of the backside of the cab. Other than that, one small rust hole on passenger side front fender and a couple of small dings. The bed is metal and solid. The tranny seems to shift good with the occasional times that I drive it. I have not driven it far, only within a few miles of home, once a week. The interior is basically gutted, which is a nice fresh start to do how you want it. Needs carpet, seat, and also a tailgate. All glass is good. Other than that, everything is there. It comes with a new dash pad, door and window seals. I know its a bit rough and needs some work, but its in a heck of a lot better condition that most I have seen at this price. With a little love, time, money, and work, could be a nice daily driver, or a good foundation for a restoration project. Either way, these models are very popular and in high demand and the value is certainly there….restored, they book for over 40K. I am more than happy to answer questions, to the best I can, but I am not too mechanically inclined. Also, am free for you to come look at it any evening til the end of auction.
