The 70 Longhorn resembles the standard 3/4 ton pick up, but the bed is 6 inches longer. You can see this by the vertical body seam just behind the cab in the front of the bed. Chevrolet didn't offer an 8.5 foot bed, so they just added the filler panel onto their 8 footer.
These models added length and rear suspension aimed at buyers looking to haul a slide in camper.
There is a great article in Hemmings Classic Car magazine in the June 2019 issue.
The steering wheel has been replaced and has a GMC logo instead of Chevy. Of course, the 1970 GMC and Chevrolet trucks had basically the same VIN numbers, and interchangeable parts

The interior is really in great condition considering it's age.
The 350 V-8 runs great and we did not see a bit of smoke from the exhaust and there appears to be no leaks under the truck. The owner does not know if the engine was ever rebuilt.
