1975 CHEVROLET LUV
Clear non-op California title, original blue & yellow license plates. Restore or build yourself a titled monster motored street rod. Motor ran when we moved it four plus years ago, it does turn over and tries to start on ether, not drive-able as the fuel system needs to be flushed and cracked rubber hoses replaced. Brake and clutch pedal go to the floor. Standard dents and dings, front bumper "repaired", you can see the weld. Old crappy repaint. Cab floor show rust, my buddy was unable to punch a few holes with a Phillips screwdriver on the passenger side after scraping. Rust spots on cab roof from an old windshield replacement, I guess they painted over the rust spots and they have bloomed. I cleaned the mess on the exterior, pulled the front fenders and cowl to clean the composting vegetation out, surprisingly rust free. I guess the heater drains are plugged and the angle of the driveway causes water to enter the cab.
Does NOT include the custom steering wheel or the junk in the bed unless you want the bent 1976 LUV front bumper.
Does include five stock rims/wheels - one on truck, four crusty white spoke wheels - one on truck and a box of random used ChevUzu parts.
Why I have it Why I am selling it
For years I had Ford Couriers and Mazda B trucks. After I blew up my last 84 Mazda B in spectacular NASCAR fashion - lost a cylinder, started to overheat, smoke out the tailpipe, rattly noises, oil and water puking out, oil fire on the catalytic and nearly made the eighteen miles home from the start of destruction I did not NEED another truck. Time passes and I got a wild hair that I now NEED another small truck for whatever. My grand plan was to find a pre-76 Courier/Mazda B and upgrade to B 1984, all bolt-ons Fail Nothing but junk or title issues for a year until the Luv showed up on Craigslist in Volcano, CA. Bone stock, two flat tires, 98% complete and covered with moss and rotting vegetation. Cool, the motor turned over. I never had a Chevy, I'll go the ChevUzu route instead I was in truck lust. We make a deal and I made arrangements to pick the truck up at a later date. Two months later we go and drag the truck to Roseville. Using a small boat tank, six feet of rubber hose, a cube fuel pump, a borrowed battery and a shot of ether, the motor begrudgingly comes to life. Time to back it in the driveway. While my buddy is the size & weight of a WWII Japanese soldier and fits perfectly, I do not, think Sargent Schultz. It is at this point we realize this is not the truck for me. I squeeze in and back the truck up the driveway. All enthusiasm is gone. Enough procrastination, time for it to go.
