Up for auction is my 1931 Chevrolet Truck. Truuk has been a project for last couple years and is almost finished. Looks to good to be called a rat rod. All of the expensive hard work has been completed and wont take much to have it ready to go in the spring.
Engine is a rebuilt 350 4 bolt main block, has about 2-3 hours run time on the motor. Comp cams, Edelbrock intake and Holley carburetor, all new, nothing used thrown on it. HEI ignition, water pump new, all the lines are new. New Headers down to the collector pipe. Needs exhaust finished past the collector. Radiator has been rebuilt and has no issues. Transmission is a GM 5 speed, NV 3500 model, new clutch, pressure plate, new Hurst short throw shifter. Rear end is a 3.73 out of a 1957 Chevy car. Engine runs off a gas can right now, needs gas tank mounted and fuel line ran to the pump. All the brake lines are hooked up and working, clutch has lines hooked up and working. Front end is a lowered straight axle from Nostaliga Sid's. Disc brake set up is from 70 Camaro. The wiring is all new, used a new fuse block from Painless Wiring, all the lights, turn and brake signals are working, they were tested when hooked up to battery. The truck box was custom made using the original rusted one as a copy, its very solid and strong. The wood on the box floor is from a 100 year old barn and needs to be secured down. The fenders and running boards are fibreglass, the cab is original.
To finish the truck it needs the cab floor finished, the doors should be supported on the inside with some framing. I have the front windshield and frame, no other glass. It needs the gas tank mounted and fuel line ran to motor. Needs the battery mounted, cables are in place. The gauge cluster is original and mounted in place but none are hooked up, only there for looks. Needs driveshaft installed. I have a few boxes of parts to go with it, some new parts and some original pieces. I have the hood, the sides were removed to run the top by itself. Truck was painted a gun metal gray, no clear coat was put on, has a matte finish to it, its not a high end perfect paint job but looks good.
The truck is about 2.5 hours from Buffalo and 4 hours from Detroit for any US buyers. Has a clean title so no issues getting it over the border. The truck does run but is not driveable so it will need to be picked up by a trailer, I can help out in any way I can. I require a $1000 deposit within 24 hours after the auction ends by way of etransfer. Balance in 5 days. Truck won't leave until all funds are cleared. Any questions call 705-817-0537.
