Description
Chevy S10 Xtreme Extended Cab 2.2l Flex 5spd 6ftbed
- All replacements/upgrades and engine installedduring the last three years with less than 10k miles on everything (chassis/body has248k miles).
- I've worked on and driven this truck for the lastfew years, replacing and upgrading it to perform and last, as I planned onkeeping it forever. She is a fun and well maintained/built truck that handleslike a long Miata with very tight suspension. Polyurethane bushings and mounts throughout. I got to replace/upgrade pretty much everything, and the paint would have been next. The current tag is coming in the mail, registration is all up to date. I had a Pacesetter header on that the SMOG check place said was only for a 2001+, so I just paid the registration and drove it that way - I changed it to a new OEM type manifold and downpipe and just passed SMOG last week. Happy to share any documents/pictures as requested.
- Below is a summary of the truck, but there’slikely some I forgot. Basically, I replaced anything I touched, saw, or thoughtof. A lot of the interior has been upgraded, and pretty much every mechanicalpart has been replaced/upgraded. I grew up in the Midwest in a family ofengineers, working all my life on swapping car and motorcycle engines/transmissions, custombuilds, etc.
- Promar Remanufactured engine has less than 10kmiles on it – under warranty for eight more months (installed 11/2019), alongwith all new engine sensors, pulleys, tensioner.
- Only new OEM parts, when available,or upgrades purchased.
- New water pump, outlets/inlets, hoses, thermostat, electric dual fan conversion, temp sensor, etc.
- Riken Raptor tires purchased a few months ago(from Tire Rack) – great grip yet smooth, quiet, and good in the rain.
- A/C works incredibly well – new compressor, accumulator, insulated hoses, insulated interior.
- New engine and transmission mounts (rubberreinforced with PU).
- New exhaust manifold & downpipe, newDenso/Delphi O2 sensors, Spectre cold air intake w/ CARB sticker.
- Has been running on E85 for a couple months now as it's a bit peppier - can be switched back before the hand-off, if you'd like.
- All new ignition parts – coils, spark plugs, plug wires, starter, starter wires, etc.
- New brakes – master cylinder, rotors, pads, calipers, stainless braided brake lines, etc.
- Energy Suspension Polyurethane steeringbushings, suspension bushings, and body mounts.
- New suspension – everything except rear leafs, including control arms, Doetsch Shocks M4039G & M4231G, bump stops, bushings, drop spindles (2” drop, blocks in rear), 1.25” hubcentric spacers w/red Loctite.
- New steering components – all, including Lares11182 Steering Box (quicker turning, stronger, less than a year old), steeringwheel and upper steering shaft from 2013 Corvette, steering shaftbushings/bearings, welded u-joint (better road feel and response), ACDelcopower steering pump & lines, ProComp tie-rods, idler arm, pitman arm, center link.
- New Timken wheel bearings, Redlinedifferential & transmission fluid.
- Exedy clutch kit & master/slave cylinders,Sachs flywheel.
- Sony DSX-GS80 Receiver (100w X 4, 44RMS)powering Rockford Fosgate T1462 & T1659 Power Speakers, JBL GT-BassPro12 –extremely clean sound, well balanced.
- New Optima Red Battery, charging/ground wiresupgraded with 2/4 gauge wires (body-battery. engine-battery, engine-body,alternator-battery, alternator-body), new battery cables.
- LED headlights/fog lights/brake lights/turnsignals with new housings.
- Entire interior (except roof) sound proofed then insulated over that, new Vinyl flooring, new OEM levers, cleaned and lubed all movingparts, new USA made door hinges, LED upgraded dash & interior lights.
- NRG Vinyl Racing Seats & adapters with driver side NRGcushions.
- Professionally window tinted.
- Mounting plates and hardware installed in bedfor Pitbull TRS and wheel chock (for hauling motorcycles).
Planned future upgrades:
- Previous owner reglossed the paint, overall ingood condition and a beautiful black when polished, with wear and tear as expected for about a 10 year old car - front lip could use a repaintand a small chunk is missing from the tailgate. I used a tail Bully net for gas mileage and less wind drag.
- Only one high beam works, likely from installing LED's all around the truck, but I never really used the highs instead of the projectors and fog lights anyway.
- Horn and airbag work but aren't currentlywired in (since installing the Corvette steering wheel, just need a new clockspring).
I am happy to provide any/all receipts and any photos/videos to serious buyers. Feel free to ask any questions, and let me know if you'd like to chat, video call, see recordings of the truck, whatever you need. I just want to find someone who will love this truck as much as I have.
