Description

I have spent the last two and a half years building this truck. I have invested over 11K and there are only a few things left to finish. Here is a list of items I have install on the truck.
The pro: 5.3L tore down to the long block had the heads checked cleaned and LS1 valves cut in to give more airflow and bee hive springs installed still has the roller rockers arms and lifters. The cam is a Texas Speed 228R cam with a 114 lobe. The heads were reinstalled with new bolts and gaskets. The intake and throttle body from a Camaro with 28 lb injectors. The oil pump has a new high volume pump installed. A yank 3600 stall torque convertor dual electric fans and aluminum radiator were installed. Sanderson short tube headers meet with two flowmaster 40 series and new O2 sensors installed exiting thru Camaro rectangle tips. The engine was buttoned in using new 2.8L frame mounts and mount kit from summit racing. The oil pan is from a Hummer H3 so the fram was not notched anywhere. The transmission crossmember was only modified on the rear bushing hole (elongated) to fit the mount. There is a new battery and a custom plug and play wiring harness from current performance under the cowl induction hood. The rearend was swapped over to a Blazer 3:42 ratio G80 series with gov lock and disc brakes. All four wheels have brand new calibers and drilles and slotted rotors. The suspension has all new Belltech drop spindles and front wheel bearings. New Belltech shocks and the way around and extreme S-10 front and rear springs with 4 inch drop blocks in the back. The transmission is the standard 4l60E with a new neutral safety switch and custom made transcooler lines. The driveshaft was cut and balanced with new heavy duty u-joints installed. The fuel tank has a new fuel regulator and filter and fuel pump just installed last month. The back two tires have less than 500 miles on them. The front are still 70% tread life. The interior was gutted and cleaned. The crank windows were replaced with power windows and wired into the middle console. The holes were filled with Polk audio tweeters with 6.5" door woofers. The dash speakers are also polk audio 4x6" powered by a pioneer radio. The shoulder straps were removed and 4 point harnesses installed with racing seats. There is a center console from a blazer installed as well. The mirrors were replaced with cal-vu style and a fiberglass roll pan installed.
The con: There is body work needed and repaint required. The front passenger upper A arm bushings need replaced although I have them just need installed. The computer needs tuned to smooth out the idle and MPH gauge currently reading about 2.5 times faster. The tach, volt, fuel, water temp, and oil pressure all work accurately. The harness has been setup for a high mount a/c unit that can be added later from current performance if you wanted it. The tail gate does not work properly and has damage. Other than that this truck is ready to go and fast.
I drive the truck every few days to keep the fluids moving and it is just a blast to drive. I do not need to sell just would like to start clearing up student loans and I have too many toys.
