2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L Z71 4x4
Protec composite bed & tailgate (never dent or rust, holds more weight, extra tiedowns hooks, doesn't make it hard to slide things)
Vehicle runs & drives great, I am a mechanic with a shop specializing in GM trucks, and I just put several thousand miles on it so I am going to give you a VERY thorough description.
Truck is located in Hobe Sound Florida, it has spent a large portion of it's life down south and in a garage
Problems:
Drivers CV axle makes audible click during full lock
Power steering pump makes noise when cold **(for full price I will replace with a new unit)
Due for oil change
Tires at 30% but ride nice
Could use brake lines in the future (**for full price I will replace with copper brake lines)
Original rockers, which have been touched up
Hard to see the prndl on the cluster
It has the AU0 RPO code for keyless entry, but it also has a lock cylinder on passenger side and I was unable to program a new fob.
The plastic column bearing is starting to rattle, won't cause an issue but is straightforward to replace
Center console lid is taped, a new one is $35
Poor touchup on hood
The Good:
4x4 works perfect, no pump-rub
Original paint (382e Pewter Metallic)
3.73 Gears w/G80 locking differential
Both differentials are quiet
Engine runs strong with ZERO lifter noise, ever
Transmission shifts great and fluid looks to have been maintained
Tow Haul feature works like it should
New inner tierods & alignment.
Balljoints and tierods all tight with no torn boots
A/C and heat both function like new, including passenger temp control
Has towing package
Aftermarket cd player, all speakers sound good
No check engine light codes and all readiness moniters are good
All doors open and close flawlessly, no sticking rear latches or worn hinge pins
All gauges operate properly, has transmission temperature added
No major leaks, doesn't leave any drips in driveway when running or when parked
Brakes 50%
Power windows, locks, and all lights function properly
New headlights
No broken or chipped glass
Clean Massachusetts title in hand, ready to be filled out by buyer. Will include a bill of sale for your state as well.
