Description

Up for sale today, is this ONE-OF-A-KIND Doomsday/Disaster Survival Vehicle!
This truck was built from the ground up to serve as a practical secondary vehicle for a family, or individual who wants to be prepared for virtually any natural or manmade disaster.
It was purchased new by the B.L.M and sold to a farmer here in Texas with around ~70,000 miles on it. Because its a government order truck, it has a VERY cool but hard to find configuration, which includes the single front headlight (instead of the double light setup on most of these trucks), bench seats, power locks but crank windows, 5.7 V8 instead of the 7.4, and rubber flooring, instead of carpet!
While owned by the government, it received excellent fleet maintenance, just like other government vehicles. After the farmer purchased it, he used it for light towing (1-2 horses), and racked up the highway miles all over the south-western USA!
I've always said that farmers either DESTROY EVERYTHING they touch or maintain it as if their life depended upon it, and this farmer clearly did the latter with this truck. He changed the oil regularly and had all major maintenance performed by a local shop and he left a stack of receipts for work in the truck, performed over the years that he owned it, which I'll detail later on in the listing.
Okay, so here's a list of features:
- Custom Front & Rear Bumpers
- Front Bumper has a 15,500 lb SMITTYBILT winch
- Both bumpers come with 20,000lb capacity "D" Rings
- Unconditional Lifetime Warranty on ALL welded components I've added
- CB Radio & Magnetic Antenna for emergency communications, in the event of cell phone grid failure/overload
-15 Gallon Jerry Can Holder! Made from aluminum, this solid rack can be easily removed from the rear bumper for day-to-day operations/daily driving, or reattached in seconds for added fuel capacity.
- SURVIVAL SKID! As pictured, this rectangular steel platform holds TWO fresh water tanks (70 gallon total capacity) and a large poly storage box. This unique unit lifts out of the rear of the truck in around 3 minutes, with two people. It can be removed singlehandedly but is not recommended. With this skid removed, you have full usability of the trunk/bed space, and can reinstall the included third row seat, if you choose. Should a disaster unfold, you simply slide the skid in place, secure it with two bolts after lining up the front two security lugs, and now, being bolted to the truck itself with four points of contact, you can take water and gear with you anywhere you need to go.
- 2500 Suburban (Heavier frame/suspension)
- 8 Lug Wheels!
- 5.7l/350ci VORTEC Engine!
- 4x4 Drivetrain
- 4x4 Manual Shifter on the Floor!
- Meticulously Maintained!
- Hidden killswitch
- New (Double-Platnium) Spark Plugs
- New Cap & Rotor
- Trunk/Bed lined with durable rubber bedliner
- CD Player
-Working A/C!
-Brand new AC DELCO Starter
-Brand new FUEL PUMP!
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a practical towing rig, or family hauler, that could literally save your life one day!
