Smokin' Asphalt Black paint is an awesome name for a great color. The SSR is a fuel injected V8 pickup/roadster that looks like a custom build and is enhanced by many customized features. The SSR defined retro-cool with a look inspired by the rounded fender Advanced Design pickups of the '40s and '50s, with running boards for a true classic/cool look. However, the style is streamlined and taken into the modern era. Attention to aerodynamic detail is seen in the way the retractable hardtop disappears.The bed has a flush-fitting locking tonneau that’s stylish and secure. The SSR’s daring design was so expensive to make that GM made it at a specialty factory. In fact, Chevrolet made more Corvettes in 2005 alone than SSRs in total over its whole four-year run. That's why these will remain collectibles.
This fantastic, highly customized SSR has been properly cared for since new. All three of its owners have been enthusiastic, non-smoking car collectors who have always garaged this SSR. For the past five years, the current owner has regularly detailed this SSR and had it regularly serviced by a local Chevrolet dealer. There are no known mechanical issues, nor does this SSR appear to have had any body or paint repair.
This very low mile SSR has chrome 20” wheels (with only 4000 miles on new Nexen tires) and a brand-new Optima Red Top battery.

Exterior features include a custom fiberglass hood and front fascia with red grill; 1959 Cadillac LED “bullet” taillights; 5-inch exhaust pipes; and removal of all exterior emblems.
