1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 2 Door
This Styleline Deluxe runs, drives, shifts andstops as it was designed back in 1951. Very well maintained garage kept andunmolested car. 75,000 miles with all original features in good working order.235 CU. IN. inline 6 engine with 3-speed manual column shift. 6 volt system,drum brakes, enclosed driveline, and original AM radio all operate flawlessly.This is a VERY nice cruiser that will turn heads everywhere you go!
Drivetrain:
235 CU IN inline6 with 3-speed manual column shift transmission. No smoking, ticking, or anyissues at all. Transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and the clutchis in good shape.
Fresh tune up, valve adjustment, and oil change.It has a Frantz bypass oil filter. The battery was replaced new this spring.
It has the original enclosed driveline with 4.11gears. New drums, shoes, hardware, and wheel cylinders were installed in the frontend this spring. Brand new tires and wheels all the way around. It is loweredin the front using 3" uprights and 2" blocks in the rear.
This car is very reliable and smooth on thestreets with the power and reliability for highway driving. It is a greatcruiser that will get you wherever you want to go!
Body:
The body is very straight and everythingoperates exactly like it is supposed to. The doors, hood, and trunk operateflawlessly. From what I can tell the paint is original for the most part aswell as the sheet metal including the floors and trunk pan. The car wasprofessionally polished and ceramic coated to preserve the finish. This thingshines like crazy! It appears the rear quarters were painted at some time inthe past with laquer (base/clear). There are some areas the laquer is showingsome age and the tops of the fenders are thin, but overall the paint is in greatshape. This is also why it was ceramic coated. The stainless steel trim is allin very good shape as well as the chrome. The front and rear bumper guards werean added accessory and the chrome on them isn't perfect, however overall thecar looks amazing for being 70 years old.
Interior:
The interior is in extremely good shape.Everything is all there and very nice. The seats appear to have beenreupholstered at some point and are in near perfect shape. The original AMradio works! There are no rattles or noises while driving. The trunk still hasthe original bumper jack and spare tire (including hub cap). The factory sounddeadening on the trunk lid is in place and in good condition as well as therubber mat in the trunk floor. All of the gauges work with the exception of thefuel gauge. It worked until the fuel tank was replaced and I am unsure of thecause. All the glass is in good shape and operates up and down perfectly aswell as the vent windows. I will also include the original owner’s manual aswell as an original shop manual for the car.
