1987 Cherolet 4x4 Suburban C2500

Purchased 8 years ago as a project from a neighbor. His daily driver, sold to me with a knock that I believe is a cracked flex plate and not internal engine. Never pulled to verify so won't guarantee, but engine is not blown. Does need repair and refresh. Last started about 2 years ago but had to pour fuel down TBI, injectors gummed or maybe pump is shot. Transmission was tight and functioned perfect when last driven. Odometer shows 89,000 - guessing it's rolled over.
Body pretty straight with replaced panels (see pics) and some other body work done, shallow dents on tailgate, some surface rust and one lower fender edge with rust on its way to eating through, but overall easy body prep for new paint. All glass intact, no breaks. Interior with 3rd row bench is all there and intact, but needs recovered - fabric covers rotten.
Lifted, big wheels, it's all there. Time and neglect has just taken its toll. Too many projects and Wife says thin the herd. Needs to move on to someone who will repurpose and show it some love.
Someone looking for a 3/4 ton, 4X4 horse like this to haul people and their toys around who is project savvy and prefers to invest more effort than money should find this to be a straightforward project to get up and going.
