Description

1998 K2500 ¾ Ton Chevy Suburban 4x4
Super clean. Rust free, lifetime west Texas truck!
Well cared for. Was a 1 owner when I bought it a few months ago. First owner was a physician who had passed away. Family sold it to me.
Low 130,000 miles.
7.4 liter 454 engine
Automatic
4-wheel drive with push button control and yes, it works.
Runs, drives, shifts as it should
NO check engine, ABS or other warning lights on.
LS model with cloth seats.
No rips or tears. Near spotless interior. Even the driver seat belt is like new. Probably rarely used having spent 99% of its life in a small town where wearing seat belts is still “optional”. Headliner is clean and tight.
I added the two Z71 emblems (see photo.) Chevy did not offer a Z71 Suburban this year but if they had it would have probably looked like this.
“Cow killer” front grille guard.
Rare tailgate model with rear hatch vs. “barn door” style.
Original AM/FM CD + Cassette. Works great. Sounds great!
Front and rear AC and Heat works great. New compressor. Cold even by Texas standards.
Tow package. If this thing can’t pull it, you probably need to leave it at home
….or go buy a diesel.
NO peeling clear coat, oxidized or faded paint on the body. (That in itself on a 23 year old GM truck is darn near miraculous)
ONE small dent about 7” long just behind the driver’s side rear tire (see photo). Should be an easy repair with only a partial area below the black molding needing to be repainted afterward. Fender flare is flexible and should go back into place once the metal is straightened. Very common light pewter metallic color. I’m not a body man or I would have fixed it myself.
What I believe has been done to the truck before I got it:
Front windshield replaced. (No chips or cracks)
Right rear side glass replaced.
New water pump.
What I have done to it myself:
Added later model Chevy OEM alloy wheels. Tires are Michelins. Rears are
about 80% tread left. Fronts are about 50% tread left but worn evenly. (See
photos)
Replaced rear shocks.
New Wagner Thermo Quiet front brake pads.
Replaced hydro booster.
Replaced master cylinder.
New Die-Hard battery.
New A/C compressor.
New spark plugs.
New upper and lower radiator hoses and water pump by-pass hose.
Manual cut-off valve installed on heater hose for summer months.
Replaced wiper motor (these year models are notorious for bad wiper
motors)
Replaced passenger side front window motor.
New carpet front to back.
Installed 7 pin trailer wiring plug on hitch (never had one before so I doubt
it ever towed much of anything).
New headlight and taillight lenses (were beginning to get cloudy
looking).
Changed the LS emblems on each side to Z71 4x4 emblems just because
I think they look cool and it’s what Chevy should have called it if they had
had offered a Z71 that year.

Message me with any questions you have. If you want pictures of the
underside I can tell you it only has surface rust. NO rust-through anywhere
on this truck. Solid as a tank. West Texas is very dry and hot and we
we don’t use salt on our roads if we ever do get ice.

I DON’T need help selling it!
No warranty or refunds are offered. Sold as is. If you need to verify
your bank funds, get your wife’s permission to purchase or have
any questions get that out of the way BEFORE you bid!
Clean Texas title in my name in hand.
$500 non-refundable deposit via Pay Pal due within 24 hours of winning
bid.
Balance to be paid within 10 days of close of auction. Cash or cashier’s
check drawn on a verifiable bank will be only forms of acceptable payment.
Neither vehicle nor title will leave my possession until check is cleared.

I will NOT arrange shipping for you but will work with your shipper to
make vehicle available for pickup.
Good luck and good bidding!
