Description
Now available, for your evaluation is a very nice and very clean, classic, 1990 Suburban 4X4, Silverado, with all the factory bells and whistles, aftermarket options and tow capability too boot. Powered by a NEW, long block, 5.7 liter fuel injected V8 engine.
Well appreciated, and thank you for your detailed questions to clarify the Suburban's description. I will continue to revise accordingly.
Question: Has our Suburban been use to carry service animals?
Answer, No, as said, we used our 1990 Suburban for back up. We have a 1991 Suburban, 4X4, as our primary large SUV, especially for winter use. Moreover, the reason we detailed the interior was because, the truck was very clean in the first place, but we wanted it as exceptionally ready, as possible for the next owners. So, no we did not detail it because of animals. This is just what we do, especially, when we know, it's worth it. Thank you for asking.
Original equipment specifications:
- 350ci V8 (5.7L), TBI (throttle-body injection, 16v, OHV)
- Chevy, 700r4 transmission
- 4X4 - Automatic transmission
- Power windows, door locks
- Front & Rear air-conditioning units
Chevy's Square body to this day, are non-surpassed for it's utility and continues to remain dominate in the SUV world. In my opinion, not even the 2021 large utility wagons, matches it's capabilities. Especially, with it's ability to swap out current technology, with low tech parts, such as, replacing the distributor with points and condenser. and going with carburation. Moreover, the straight front axle and obvious, and accessible, powertrain, with minimal sensors makes life a whole lot easier, not to mention parts are still accessible in wrecking yards (Thank you Mel for your help).
Our eight passenger truck includes: four front shocks, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks (need addressed), A/C, front captain bucket seats, center console, overhead console with reading lights, map pockets in each front door, 70/30 split second row bench, third row seating, tilt steering wheel, cruise, sought after, rear barn doors, after market aluminum wheels, and fm/am/cd disc radio, etc (see pictures).
We originally bought the truck from a good family from Boise, Idaho. Currently the rig has 159,470. Overall, we have used it a handful of times, as our back up vehicle from Garden Valley to Boise, Idaho. Mechanically this 1990 Suburban Silverado runs, drives and STOPS excellent and is ready for the whole family, or scout troop (Our son is an Eagle Scout) to enjoy.
Keep in mind, mechanically, we just had this truck gone through. Moreover, this gentle giant is made of steel, from bumper to bumper, and side to side. They don't make these civilian armored vehicles like this any more.
Our suburban just got out of the shop last Monday (22-Nov-21) with a new, long-block, crate 5.7 engine with many other parts. When rolled out of the shop, it had 159,400+ miles on it and currently has 159,470+ miles. It will need another 500+/- miles for break in before towing. See below for all recent parts and service completed. The trip meter shows the mileage on the engine since leaving the shop (see picture).
The exterior (body) is in very good shape. The color is factory Butternut/gold, just like the colors of yesteryear, such as our last love, a 1972 SS-El Camino. The paint has thinning in areas, imperfections and the clear coat is also pealing in some areas (see pictures). Overall it looks very good. There is no body cancer on the body. However, the inner front fenders, do show said condition (see pictures). Please, email me for pictures of a couple of small ding/dents. For example on the passenger side, barn door, top hinge, in the gold area of gold, at the stripe, there is a small crease.
The interior is clean and beautiful: Professionally detailed. All interior was pulled out shampooed, cleaned, put back and looks like a million bucks. All gauges and lights work as they should. The dashboard has cracks and headliner look good. However, there are areas, where there is bubbling in the fabric (See picture). There are couple things needing addressed at leisure, such as, a new turn signal switch, which I have, that needs installed. By smell, There is no evidence of anyone ever having smoked in this vehicle, however, the front driver's seat has a couple burn marks, and we do not smoke.
Please, take time to look at all the pictures. They do enlarge for your scrutiny. I made every effort to document the known issues and represent them in the photos. Overall, this vehicle speaks for itself. You don't see original square-body Chevys in this good-excellent condition, very often, if at all.
Ebay only allows me 24 pictures total. I had to pick and choose to get the most information to you. However, please, email me at [email protected] and ask for specific areas and I will get them to you.
