Description
The Truck looks new inside and out, but has a bad lifter on the #1 cylinder. The truck was maintained by the dealer until 100,000 miles. I have a list of receipts for repairs that have been done over the recent years. The day before the lifter went bad the truck was in for an EVP value, oil change,and alignment.
I would fix and keep driving, but my wife and I have decided to down size due to 2 out of 3 kids are driving there own cars now. The Suburban has and is a great truck, it has thousands of miles left in it. My mechanic said that this is common problem in these trucks that have Automatic Fuel Management system and he was surprised we lasted as long as we did. He said that the parts are readily available and the labor is about a day. My wife changed the oil religiously, and as soon as she heard a noise, I was bringing the car in. Once you see the truck, you will know how well she cared for it. If it doesn't sell, it will become my youngest car in a year. The truck has newer tires as well.
My family has taken many safe trips in this Suburban and its very hard to see it go.
