Description
AP6 Valiant slant 6 automatic.
This car was owned by the owner of a panel shop 3 hours west of Brisbane and done up as his personal car. Apparently it was done up about 14 years ago. The body work and paint job is amazing considering the length of time ago it was done. It would have been a very high dollar job. The body fit up and gaps are excellent. The bright work and bumper bars are excellent as well.
Engine :- Slant 6 with triple SU's, chrome extractors and lashings of chrome. This car has sat for some time, it does run but really needs a tune on the SU's or remove them and fit a 4bbl (I have a 4bbl manifold that I will throw in with the car but you will need to get a small 4 barrel carby). Motor does not fume, oil light goes off straight away. Auto is traditional torque flite.
Under the car :- Suspension all feels tight as does the steering. Has been fitted with a rack and pinion conversion. Front Disc brakes with a VH44 booster has been fitted but because the car has been in storage for so long the brakes need attention. Again because of the time in storage the exhaust would need some work. The whole of under the car has been painted and is very clean. Yokohama 352's 235/60x14 all round with heaps of tread on 7 x 14 bean slot mags. There is also a mag as a spare.
Interior :- The interior has been tastefully re-trimmed using later model front seats (probably CL). Retractable seat belts in the front. A B&M shifter takes care of the gear selection. Dash pad is excellent, radio is an old Voxon but works well, has an electric aerial on the L/H rear quarter. Seats, door cards and carpet are in very good condition and should clean up well. A colour coded rear louver is fitted. The down side of the interior is the roof lining. Mice had moved in (evicted now) and chewed holes in the lining in a couple of spots and car would be almost perfect inside once that is replaced.
The price I am asking for this car is about the same as you would have to pay for the paint and body work on this car. I basically am throwing in the interior and the car.
There is no rego, no RWC and no reserve.
Car is located on Sunshine Coast and inspection is recommended and welcome.
I would love to keep this but wife says NO.
