Up for sale at "NO RESERVE" is a 1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial 4 Door Hardtop. This timecapsule is just waking up from a 7 year dormancy as it was last on theroad in 2007. The previous owner had purchased the car in 1995. It hasspent most of its life in Maine. The car is equipped with the venerable413 cu in (6.8 L) Wedgehead engine with a Carter 4bbl carb boasting 340hp and is paired up with a TorqueFlite 3 speed automatic transmission.Wheelbase is at 129" with an overall length of 227.8 in. making this atrue land yacht. Appearance is fair. The color is Mist Blue. There issome rust through on the passenger side of the car.Floors and thetrunk are solid as a rock. The front fascia of the car sports a largechromed crossbar and surround, and the headlights are inset into thegrill behind tempered-glass lenses covers with etched horizontal linesimitating the grill. The interior is trimmed with 100-year old ClaroWalnut wood inlays that appeared on the instrument panel.. Upholstery is a combination of both fabric and real leather. Theleather is showing some dry cracking. The car runs and drives. It has adual exhaust with a desirable throaty sound. Much work has been doneover the years proving that the car has been lovingly cared for. Thereis a lot of receipts for work done on the car. This car restored can beworth over $20,000.
