Description
1984 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue with only 18,206 miles. 318 and column automatic. Mileage has never rolled over. Before I got it, it was in the same family since new. The car is the typical "grandma car" you hear about. Its like new on the inside for the most part. The outside has a few dings/dent and could use a good detail and clay bar/buffing to possibly take out some of the scratches, scrapes, and spots of tar it has. Car wasn't driven for many years because it needed a fuel pump. It now has a brand new fuel pump and runs great. A/C, power windows, AM radio all work great. All gauges and lights seem to work as they should. I'm guessing the tires are the originals on it, but not 100% sure. Because of the age of the tires, I would be hesitant to drive this home unless you are local. Spare is still in the back and I have an additional full size replacement tire that has a plug in it that is included.
The bad:
Headliner is sagging in multiple places. Outside the biggest flaw is the right lower quarter panel a bigger dent/scrape and someone tried touching it up. It does have scratches, scrapes, dings, etc present in multiple places. I guess when this sat in the garage they set something on the trunk and must have pulled on it so there are scratches across the trunk lid. The engine bay has some grease slung around in spots. Few signs of rash on some of the hub caps. The front passenger door pull is broke off and missing. From a stop, when you shift it into drive or reverse, you feel it shift into gear. Otherwise, while driving it shifts into all gears smoothly. My fathers 1979 chrysler 300 shifted the same way. So maybe this is just how it is, all I drive is manual transmission cars so I don't know. Thought it was worth mentioning as I really want buyer to be happy with their purchase.
If you are interested in purchasing it, message me and I will give you 100+ pictures of the car and my phone number to answer any questions.
You are buying the car as is/ as pictured. With NO warranties or guarantees of any type. This is a 33 year old vehicle. I have the clear Missouri title in my name.
I've described the car to the best of my ability and hopefully have pointed out all the flaws. This car should have a lot of life left in it and is relatively easy to work on. Changing the fuel pump only took me 30 minutes.
$250 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due within 48 hours after the auction ends. You can come pay the rest to me in cash at my bank or you can wire the money into my bank account. $250 deposit will be sent through PayPal, but nothing more than that will be accepted into my PayPal account. The remaining balance is due within 7 business days after the conclusion of the auction. Car needs to be removed within 14 days after the listing ends, unless otherwise discussed. If you hire a shipper, I will be available to help them and work with them to set up a day and time.
I've sold a motorcycle, 2 cars, and also have bought a car off of eBay. That totaled near $60K between all of those transactions and I have 100% feedback. If you know anybody local to me (O'Fallon, Missouri), they are more than welcome to come see the car. I want this to go as smooth as all my other sales have gone. A similar one of these (1987) just sold for $8500.
