I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A FAMILY MEMBER OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
THE TITLE THAT I HAVE IN HAND SAYS "NEW" IN THE CONDITION SECTION WHICH TELLS ME THAT THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL AND FIRST OWNER.
FROM THE INSPECTION STICKER ON THE WINDSHIELD IT MAY HAVE LAST BEEN ON THE ROAD SOMETIME AROUND 1996.
I BOUGHT IT AS A PROJECT FOR MY BROTHER AND I, BUT WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE TIME TO GET INTO IT.
I AM AN ASE CERTIFIED MASTER TECH AND I SEE THIS CAR AS THE FIRST TURBO 4 CYLINDER IMPORT THAT STARTED THE WHOLE "TUNER" RAGE IN THE AUTOMOTIVE WORLD. WITH SOME WORK I STILL THINK THIS CAR HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL.
MY BROTHER CHECKED AND THE SPARK AND INJECTOR PULSES ARE FUNCTIONAL.
BECAUSE THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING SO LONG, THE FUEL SYSTEM WILL NEED TO BE GONE THROUGH AND CLEANED UP(I.E. LINES, TANK, FILTERS, POSSIBLY INJECTION SYSTEM).
THIS CAR HAS NO AFTER MARKET PARTS ON IT AS FAR AS I CAN TELL.
IT IS A COMPLETELY FACTORY STOCK VEHICLE!
ALL THE PARTS ARE PRESENT - NO HUNTING IF YOU WANT IT BACK TO FACTORY!
NO EVIDENCE OF IT BEING WRECKED AND NO SIGNS OF RUST ANYWHERE EITHER!
HAVE NOT CHECKED ANY ACCESSORIES (I.E. - LIGHTS, SIGNALS, CLUSTER LIGHTS, HORN, RADIO, HVAC, ETC.) DOESN'T MEAN THEY DON'T WORKJUST DIDN'T GET AROUND TO CHECKING THESE.
BEST CASE SCENARIO: CLEAN FUEL SYSTEM UP, DROP A BATTERY IN IT, START IT UP AND TAKE OFF
