1947 Chyrsler Town & Country Woodie

From the estate of Dr. Stone, Marietta Ohio. Originally purchased in Dayton Ohio at a cost of $3800.00 by a Veterinarian who drove the car for 12 years. With 83,000 miles on the car it was parked for 25 years. In 1985 Dr. Stone purchased the car and brought it to Marietta Ohio. This car was originally grey with a standard interior. Dr. Stone decided to change the color to maroon and install the optional highland plaid interior. 40 % of the wood is original. The restoration was completed in 1986. The car was driven yearly from 1986 thru 2013 adding 16,000 miles over those 27 years. Averaging about 600 miles per year for car shows and parades.
From Dr. Stones records there were 4055 nearly identical 6-cylinder Woodie sedans made during 1946, 1947 and 1948 plus 102 8 cylinder Woodie sedans. About 200 are known to have survived.
