Due to storage arrangements the car can not be viewed at any time, I will make the car available for viewing on a set day and time prior to the auction ending which will be somewhere close to the Brisbane CBD.
This is for a 'cash only' on pick up sale, so no bank transfers/cheques/trades/PayPal etc.
The Auction is for both the car and the custom built tandem car trailer built by hooked on trailers. It has a wireless electric winch fitted and is registered till the end of the year. The trailer fits inside a single lock up garage with the valiant on it so makes it easy to store!!
I can deliver within reason if required.
A lot of parts have gone into the project over the last 10 years so I'll do my best to list, basically every thing is new the car has not been used since stripped to shell and built up. Note the bonnet is raised due to the bonnet pins installed as I did have another bonnet on with scoop etc, but have since gone back to original bonnet so pins can be removed and bonnet lowered or holes drilled for pins. The car in the photos hasn't had a wash in a while due to storage arrangements.
Car build details
1969 Valiant VF 770 Coupe
The body is straight and rust free, the pictures were taken a couple days ago, the paint is 20 years old and in excellent condition. I have had it for 10 years and it has always been garaged.
Motor
The engine has been Centred in the engine bay (to allow big extractors) plus rack n pinion clearance with custom tubular engine mounts by Rapid Fabrication.
360 SB built by Peter Geil at Mopower Race Engines. The cam was broken in but the motor will still need to be broken in.
12:1 compression, Ported polished hi flow cast heads, 2.05 chev intake valves, titanium collets, crane gold roller rockers, triple springs, comp cams near 600thou lift solid cam, custom push rods etc, port matched super victor intake with Holley HP Ultra 950 carby, scat H beam rod, KB hypertectic pistons machined to suit large valves 12:1 comp, cast crank with oil galleries radiused, 4 bolt miloden main caps splayed outer bolts, high energy custom sump with crank scraper and windage tray and baffled sump pick up, fully balanced and blue printed. Custom dual 4" air intake plenum and filter pods to allow every thing to be kept under bonnet.
Gearbox and Diff
727 TF, HD transmission mount, shift kit, clutch pack etc., approx 4k stall converter, 3" tail shaft, orange gear box mounted tail shaft loop, all new and set up dodge 8 3/4 diff, cut down to suit A body valiant, 489 nodular centre, 4:11 gears, full spool, Mopar housing back strengthener welded in,
Exhaust
Rapid Fabrication custom coated headers with dual 3" exhaust, oxygen sensor, hooker mufflers in front of diff, 3' dual tail sections up over diff into a pair of spiral mufflers to help quieten it down for the street (sounds very tough)!
Cooling
Alloy radiator, twin thermo fans with adjustable cut in sensor, EWP electric water pump and adjustable control system.
Fuel and Ignition
Original fuel tank modified into a drop tank with recesses for dual 3" exhaust to pass through. Malory 250g/h rear mounted pump.
Comes with new (not yet installed) holly dual regulator and filter plus hose and fittings. Comes with new (not yet installed) Malory ignition leads/boots/shielding/clamps etc as the MSD leads were shorting. MSD 6AL new model ignition plus matching HV coil and MSD dizzy
Steering and Suspension
Elko rack n pinion steering kit mounted off K-frame, HP tubular upper control arms, HP strengthened lower arms, HD reaction rod, 31mm white line sway bar front, matching rear sway bar, 2" custom shop drop spindals, competition engineering adjustable shocks all round, 1" torsion bars, recon VJ front callipers and new discs, Summit rear dodge 8 3/4 disc brake kit with park brake, Mopar comp racing leaf springs, Mopar spring relocation kit installed on chassis rail,

All new custom interior, black vinyl with basket weave features. Rear seat semi moulded, all new hidden retractable seat belts, new matching custom door cards, recon handles and fittings etc, new carpets and under lay, new roof liner, Summit racing digital instrument panel custom fit into a original valiant cluster panel, Stewert Warner gauges (fuels/water/temp/oil etc), new stereo player blue tooth with 6" splits in front, 7x10 hidden in rear parcel shelf and 2 x 10" dual voice coil pioneers subs hidden in boot side quarter panels with custom boot cards, power amps included, custom built matching trim battery box in boot.
Please any serious buyers get in contact with me for more information. The car currently isn't running as the carby was stripped and cleaned and re-kitted by Auto Carbs and I have a new holley regulators and lines and fitting to install. It is pretty close to being finished and is going to be a tough street car which will turn a lot of heads.
