Up for sale is my Citroen C5 2.2 HDi Exclusive with an automatic gearbox and finished in silver with a full grey leather interior.
I purchased this car in September 2013 from my father's friend who bought the car new in 2004. In the 9 years he owned the car, he had covered just 18,500 miles, and had had the car serviced at:
1202 miles - 12/5/04
6026 miles - 27/04/06
10656 miles - 16/02/08
13880 miles - 24/02/10
14918 miles - 09/02/11
16111 miles - 15/02/12
I have since put a further 23,500 miles on the car, and as an engineer I have serviced the vehicle twice myself. The car does not require a cambelt for a further 30,000 miles, although as the vehicle is now 10 years old, it may be a prudent move to have the original replaced. I have given it an inspection and determined that it did not show any signs of perishing (the car was kept in a garage from 2004 to 2013). I have replaced all 4 tyres, and these are only 3 months old.
The car is the highest spec and cost over £26,000 new. It features the following:
Full grey leather interior in immaculate condition.Oversize tinted electric sunroof.Lightly tinted windows (factory fitted).Satellite navigation.Cruise control.Built in telephone (will require your sim card).Heated and electrically adjustable front seats.Electrically folding mirrors.Parking sensors front and rear.6 Disc Multichanger (under drivers seat)Climate control (dual)Auto dimming rear view mirror.Full hydraulic suspension with sports mode which firms up the cornering if required. It can also be heightened for flood conditions or lowered for maintenance.Automatic gearbox with sports option.Rear dog card which retracts into the parcel shelf.Reversible boot mat.Alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts (slight kerbing).Trip computer showing mpg (37mpg throughout the time I've owned the car).The bodywork is in very good condition with just two bumper scuffs (one front nearside and one rear offside). The scuffs are on the inserts and not the actual bumpers so these could be easily repaired or replaced). The car drives excellently with no rattles, knocks or smoke. It has been driven lightly throughout its life and the majority of the 42,000 miles have been on the M4, M25 or M1 motorways. The depollution system light is showing. This is a common fault with the 2.2 HDi. There are absolutely no symptoms, and the light has been on for over 20,000 miles. I occasionally reset it but it pops up after a few miles. It causes no problems at all, but of course it should be mentioned here.
I am selling as I find myself consistently in central London and so have purchased a much smaller vehicle.
The car is MoT'd until 25th February 2015 (no advisories) and Taxed until the end of September 2014. The car is not being used and so the mileage will not increase. It is available for any inspection and collection is a must from Tadley, Hampshire (Postcode RG26 3PF).
